North International Area Pavilion Detail 

The North International Area is a modular structure consisting of pavilions, courtyards, and service areas. Designed by architects António Barreiros Ferreira and Alberto França Dória of Portugal, the facility will become the Portuguese Industrial Association's Exhibition Center once the EXPO has finished. Together with the South International Area, this modular construction provided pavilion spaces to more than 140 countries and international organizations covering about 611,200 Sq. Ft. of floor surface. Participating countries were presented information pertaining to the EXPO'98 theme -- The Oceans, a Heritage for the Future.
